No black box. Here's the whole formula.
Screening scores usually come with no explanation and no appeal. Ours is published, down to the point values, because a score you can't inspect is a score you can't trust.
Four pillars, 100 points
Verification
Who you are, proven. Email verification starts you at 18 points, government-ID with a live selfie takes you to 38, and a passed background check to the full 50. Identity is half the score because it's half of trust.
Reviews
What hosts and roommates say after living with you. Your average rating drives the points, and volume matters: the effect ramps up over your first five reviews so one lucky review can't carry the pillar.
Activity
A real track record: up to 8 points for completed stays with protected deposits, up to 4 for how long you've been a member, and up to 3 for vouches from past landlords, roommates, or employers.
On-time rent
Every month of rent paid through Sharelet adds 1.25 points, up to 10. Eight paid months max the pillar. It's the single clearest signal a landlord cares about, measured from real payments.
The bands
What the score never uses
No credit pulls, no income data, no demographics, nothing scraped from social media. The Trust Score measures one thing: how you actually rent, from records generated on Sharelet and verified references. Your score is yours to share (or not) by private link or QR from your account.
